  Question Answer
1.0. Date of answer   December 23, 2000
1.1. Name or nickname   Michael S.
1.2. E-mail   The author of a site has
1.3. Sex  Male
1.4. Age 46
1.5. The age, in which began a psoriasis 17
1.6. Reason of occurrence of a psoriasis (in your opinion) in retrospect, after reading Pagano and finding that his methods are useful, I now think that my psoriasis came on as a consequence of starting to drink alcohol (wine) on an almost daily basis, and black coffee. At that age, I also started to smoke cigarettes, which probably didn't help (I smoked only for four years, however.) I've always thought that the sudden death of my mother when I was l7 may have provided an emotional factor, too.
1.7. Condition of a psoriasis at total I have basic "plaque" psoriasis that comes and goes according to the weather and how much sun I get (though it's now affected by the alternative treatments I use). It's mostly on my legs and trunk and arms. The plaques are relatively small, but there are quite a number of them.
1.8. Season of worsening of a psoriasis The end of summer and start of fall is always the worst time, when my skin tends to "flare." Unless I get some tropical sun, it has tended - until the last two years -- to stay pretty bad right through winter and spring.
1.9. Enumerate the most serious chronic diseases I don't believe I've had any chronic diseases associated with psoriasis (or otherwise).
1.10. There were illnesses of an intestine? I don't know of any intestinal illnesses I've had, though of course Pagano talks about the "leaky gut" as a means by which toxicity leaks out into our internal systems.
1.11. There are illnesses of an intestine now? no
2.1. Are you on the regimen now?
(If yes, do not answer questions 2.4 and 2.6)
yes, but not exactly
2.2.  Year and month, in which you began the regimen Dec 1999. -  I was on Pagano's regimen quite seriously a year ago, and it helped dramatically. I'm still on it, but frankly I haven't been as disciplined as I was before (and my skin isn't as good as it was before, either!)
2.3. Period, during which you was on the regimen  I stayed on it without any lapses for about five months. In that time, my skin cleared almost entirely. (This is when I wrote the review of his book on Amazon).
2.5. Condition of a psoriasis before the beginning of the regimen see 1.7
2.7. Describe changes of a psoriasis in the regimen period  I didn't stop his regimen so much as modify it a bit. In the beginning, I went so far as to have high colonics (three or four times) and acupuncture. But these began to be expensive, and after my skin cleared, I stopped doing that. Also, it was hard to stay completely off alcohol and caffeine. I found myself slipping a bit back to drinking very moderately (and not on most nights), and having perhaps one cup of black caffeinated coffee in the morning. I found that my skin held up pretty well, though gradually it began to worsen, to the point that this last November, I really felt compelled to go to the Caribbean for a holiday of sunbathing on the beach. Once again, as a result of that, my skin is clear, and I'm trying to consume as little alcohol and caffeine as possible, while also sticking to the basic dietary regimen (no red meat, no tomatoes, etc)
2.8. Describe main difficulties of the regimen  I think the regimen is hard to follow, especially the alcohol and caffeine, but it's not THAT hard -- especially when you begin to see the effects of following it. Having clear skin is worth a little dietary discomfort!
2.9. Condition of a psoriasis now (in comparison with 2.5)  My skin now is about 95% clear, which I attribute both to the sun (50%) and to Pagano's regimen followed fairly well, if not completely (50%).

1.3. Sex  Male
2.1. Are you on the regimen now?
(If yes, do not answer questions 2.4 and 2.6)
no
2.3. Period, during which you was on the regimen  7 months
2.5. Condition of a psoriasis before the beginning of the regimen bad
2.7. Describe changes of a psoriasis in the regimen period In a nut shell though, the Pagano regimen of diet and internal cleansing was
a complete failure for me.  While participating in his program, my Psoriasis
escalated to an all time high.  It was never so bad before I followed
Pagano's recommendations and it didn't begin to clear until quitting his
program and being treated with a series of UVB exposures.
I followed his plan for 7 months, and went progressively from bad to worse
during this entire period.  In addition, the final 3 months I also eliminated
all gluten from my diet.
2.9. Condition of a psoriasis now (in comparison with 2.5) worse
2.11 Add any information, which in your opinion is important for
those who gathers to test a Pagano method for treatment of a psoriasis.
IMO Psoriasis is a disorder of the immune system
and for the most part completely unrelated to diet.  I am a proponent of a
healthy diet, and don't feel that Pagano's program is harmful.  I am merely
saying that Pagano's program is ineffective at relieving the condition known
as Psoriasis.
There is a phenomena known as "Placebo effect" and I beleive that Pagano's
and other dietary plans for "curing" this disease fall firmly in a "Placebo"
category.  Which means to say, that I am very happy for those that
participate and enjoy some form of success.  But until it can be successfully
tested and documented, it is no more a cure that rubbing lesions with
petroleum jelly.

1.4. Age to be 50 in February
1.5. The age, in which began a psoriasis 12
1.6. Reason of occurrence of a psoriasis (in your opinion) no clue
1.7. Condition of a psoriasis at total none right now! Reason for dissappearance comes later.
1.8. Season of worsening of a psoriasis winter
1.9. Enumerate the most serious chronic diseases none, except for psoriasis, until breast cancer diagnosed this past September.
1.10. There were illnesses of an intestine? no
1.11 There are illnesses of an intestine now? I believe so because of what I read in Dr. Pagano's book.
1.12 There is any interrelation between a psoriasis and any of your
chronic illnesses? If yes, describe this interrelation.
no, because I haven't had any chronic diseases that I know of besides the
psoriasis
2.1. Are you on the regimen now?
(If yes, do not answer questions 2.4 and 2.6)
no
2.2.  Year and month, in which you began the regimen August, 1999
2.3. Period, during which you was on the regimen  Until November of 2000
2.4.  A reason, on which you have stopped the regimen: Diagnosed with breast cancer in September, 2000, and after my first Chemo treatment, the psoriasis left me. I am not sure that it is gone for good, because
nearing my next treatment, I see small pit marks, that look as tho it is coming back.
2.5. Condition of a psoriasis before the beginning of the regimen  About 30-40% of body covered (not palms of hands or soles of feet)
2.6. Condition of a psoriasis after the finish of the regimen (in comparison with 2.5) The first to leave, within 3 weeks of beginning the regimen, was
psoriasis of the scalp. It was great! The rest of my body kept clearing
until January of 2000. Then the healing stopped, even tho I kept up the
regimen. Later on in the spring, the scalp psoriasis even returned. It
was heart breaking for me, but I still continued with the regimen and
tried to encourage those who wrote me that it was good, and my healing
was just going to take more time, as I had had it for 36-37 years.
2.7. Describe changes of a psoriasis in the regimen period a lightening of the irritated skin and lessening of scales.
2.8. Describe main difficulties of the regimen foods to eat. I craved hot (cooked on a stove) food, and there was few things I could really have. I have been waiting for over a year for Dr. John's cookbook to come out. I don't know what the hold-up is and I have not questioned them since last spring.
2.9. Condition of a psoriasis now (in comparison with 2.5) I have no psoriasis, but I am sure that it is due to my taking chemo, which eats
up the fast growing cells, which psoriasis is, acting much like cancer
cells. My doctors say there are not enough psoriasis patients having
chemo, under there care, for them to make a study and keep track of
whether the psoriasis was healed. I'm hoping that the radiation that
comes next, may do the trick.
2.10 What medicine you use in the regimen period
2.11 Add any information, which in your opinion is important for
those who gathers to test a Pagano method for treatment of a psoriasis.

2.12 Estimate the regimen on a 10-scale (1-most bad..., 10-most
good)
since I did not receive the healing, I will not rate the regimen, but I
will tell you that I believe in what Dr. John says the problem is.

1.3 Sex  female
1.4 Age 22
1.5 The age, in which began a psoriasis 21
1.6 Reason of occurrence of a psoriasis (in your opinion) I realized that my first spot on my elbow had shown up at an incredibly stressful period of my life. I had gone thru a wretching break-up, lost my job, and attended school four days a week, an hour away -- all in the dead of winter!
1.7 Condition of a psoriasis at total
1.8 Season of worsening of a psoriasis Only had it a year, but it was horrible this winter.
1.9 Enumerate the most serious chronic diseases None, other than the Psoriasis
1.10 There were illnesses of an intestine? Other than the theorized "Leaky Gut Syndrome", no
1.11 There are illnesses of an intestine now?
1.12 There is any interrelation between a psoriasis and any of your chronic illnesses? If yes, describe this interrelation. No
2.1 Are you on the regimen now? Yes
2.2  Year and month, in which you began the regimen Mid May of 2005
2.3 Period, during which you was on the regimen Have been on regimen a month and half
2.5 Condition of a psoriasis before the beginning of the regimen All areas of body affected (including scalp and a few small spots on feet, and tops of hands) Thick lesions on elbows and knees. Actually physically irritating and painful. Scalp was horribly afflicted as well.
2.7 Describe changes of a psoriasis in the regimen period The first 3 weeks were horrible, to be quite honest. Before started the regimen I was your typical busy 22 year-old. I was a full time Server, so eating was a matter of convenience -- many times fried, fast food. In addition, I was a heavy drinking. Going out every nite of the week after work. So, in the beginning, my body reacted quite adversely to the new change. I had a horrible cold, felt exhausted all the time, and was lethargic. I truly believe my body went into entire shock when I began restricting what used to be "everyday" foods, and traded them in for the healthy foods, vitamins and herbs. However, after those 3 weeks of adjustment, my body felt so much healthier. The circles under my eyes disappeared, my complexion looked fresh and alive.
2.8 Describe main difficulties of the regimen Completely eliminating alcohol, and eating more fruits and veggies and less
grains and meats (only fish and chicken/turkey)
2.9 Condition of a psoriasis now (in comparison with 2.5) Scalp and back are 95% clear. Remarkable, remarkable improvement on tops and bottoms of legs, arms and stomach. My entire skin has done a 180* in just a month and a half
2.10 What medicine you use in the regimen period none
2.11 Add any information, which in your opinion is important for those who gathers to test a Pagano method for treatment of a psoriasis.  The worst time for me was in the first 3 weeks. My body was in detox, and I felt worse than I ever had. However I knew that it was a good sign. And after that dark period, my skin and overall health began to flourish. Even on nights I
haven't gotten enough sleep, I wake up refreshed and no bags under my eyes. This is proof that the diet is also working in benefit for my general healthiness. In addition, I've noticed that my stress level has decreased greatly. I've had a few
obstacles thrown my way in the past month and several people have commented on my calmness. I believe this diet has effected my mind, body, and soul So, my advice is, be aware that in the beginning, your body may act quite unlike what you would expect. Also, I've found that I crave occassionally the foods I chose to eliminate. If the craving is strong, I may have a bite of that food just to curb the craving. Remember ALL in moderation. Sunlight has also helped drastically. Ultimately, when you begin to see improvement, know that its due your change in diet. If you have to look at a lesion beginning to clear up every time you think about throwing in the towel, do it! Nothing is more encouraging than the evidence itself.
2.12 Estimate the regimen on a 10-scale (1-most bad..., 10-most good)  I rate it an 8 for now. If this really does clear up skin and maintains my immune system, its and easy 10
